FIFA Be a Pro Rules
This page contains the comprehensive rules governing gameplay and conduct within the WGL. Whilst we have endeavoured to ensure all rules provide adequate guidance to meet all eventualities, instances may occur where teams feel that further guidance is needed. In such an event, contact a member of the Admin Team.
1: League Structure
1.1 The league is comprised of various divisions. Teams will play each other twice, home and away. The scores will then be tallied up and that will be the final result. Teams will receive 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw, losses will result in zero points awarded. Goal difference is included and used to separate teams who share the same points. If the goal difference is the same, goals scored will be used. If this is the same, the results between the teams concerned will be used to denote who sits above whom in the table.
1.2 Each team will play a home and away fixture each week.
2: General
2.1 All competitors involved in The WGL are expected to know and understand all of the rules. Not knowing that a rule existed is not an excuse for breaking that rule.
2.2 Any rule being broken may lead to disciplinary action. This action will be at the discretion of the Admin(s) involved, and the situation will be taken into account. Punishment may include, but not be limited to, forfeits, replays, penalty points, kicks, temporary and permanent bans.
2.3 Each Clan is allowed a roster of a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 18 players.
2.4 Rosters must be submitted to the website before the Season commences. A deadline date will be specified for this on the main page of the website.
2.5 To request a roster change, please forward a PM to: "
TLU Seenan GK". If approved, the said player can participate for that team in the following game week but not the week in which the request was made. The request for 'emergency' subs is now null and void as roster numbers should cater for any such 'emergencies'..
2.6 Matches will consist of two BAP games each week, the home team will host first the the away team. Each game must be played after each other, and results confirmed on each fixture.
2.7 Matches must be arranged and confirmed via the WGL website's fixtures functionality by the Sunday preceding each game week.
2.8 Interclan Transfers are not allowed in the WGL once the season begins.
2.9 Players who compete in the league must only use 1 gamertag and play for only 1 Clan in the league for the duration of the whole season. For all avoidance of doubt, if you play for a clan in 1 league, you will only be permitted to play for that clan in all other leagues. Players can no longer play for different clans in different leagues.
2.10 Players who leave one clan, are not permitted to participate under a different clan until the next season i.e. Only one clan per season. Any players found breaking this rule will result in instant ban from the WGL Leagues and offending teams facing severe punishments. This also includes moving between two squads in the same clan.
2.11 Your tag must match that displayed on your team roster. If you change your gamertag, you must send a Private Message to the Gamertag Admin to update it on the WGL site. Any player found to be using more than 1 gamertag to compete in different teams in the league will be permanently removed.
3: Setting up the match
3.1 Home Team Captain should be the one sending the invite to the opposing club
3.2 Enter your club hub via 'Virtual Pro' option in main menu
3.3 Once all your team’s players are in, press RB and type in the opposing clubs name
3.4 Search for the opposing team name
3.5 Select the opposing team to invite them into the lobby, you should then all be directed into the match room
3.6 Please make sure to add one of your opponent's Xbox Live Gamer Tag before playing, in case of any problems.
4: Squads
4.1 Each team may have a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 18.
4.2 Each team must use a human controlled any.
4.3 If an Any is sent off and therefore removed from the game the match must continue until the end using the CPU as Any.
4.4 All players must be registered on The WGL and must appear in your squad list before playing any match. It is the Be a Pro
4.5 Team Captain’s responsibility to ensure that all players have signed up and have been sent an invite into your team. Failure to comply will result in a default 3-0 loss for any game they appear in (evidence will be required to take action on such a matter).
4.6 A team may play a minimum of 3 players and maximum of 11 per game e.g. one game may be 3 players v 11 players.
4.7 Team instructions are allowed (defensive/ultra-defensive/offensive/ultra-offensive instructions). These can be activated by pressing left/right on Directional Pad.
4.8 A team may not drop players during the game on purpose in order to improve the AI players.
5: Custom Formations
Teams cannot use a customised formation. Only the default formations that are available in the Club Hub can be used in game. Pausing to edit or move players default positions within your formation is strictly prohibited. Any team caught doing so, will be sanctioned with a default loss of 3-0 (Evidence will be required to take action on such a matter).
6: Quitting Out
Quitting is only allowed at the start of the match if your players have not made it into the game from the game lobby, or if there is unplayable lag within the first 5 minutes in game. If a team leaves the match due to losing or unsportsmanlike reasons, a default loss of 3-0 will be given (evidence will be required to take action on such a matter). The game must be restarted if either ANY player doesn’t make it into the game (See LAGGING OUT for further information).
7: Lagging Out
If the ANY player of either team lags out during the match or if one team’s player numbers drops to below the minimum of 3; the match must be re-started; however, the score and time at the point when the player disconnected shall still stand. In the new game, the score will carry over, and the remainder of the match should be played out. E.g. Team One is 2-0 up against Team Two; Team One lags out in the 53rd minute (in game). Match will then be re-started and played up until the 37th minute with Team Two winning 2-0, at which point the score in match 2 (0-2) should be added to the score from match 1 (2-0) to form the end result (2-2 Draw).
8: Modified Virtual Pros
8.1 Modifying your Virtual Pro to boost the stats is strictly forbidden. When a player is found to have done so, they will be removed from the relevant squad and banned from Be a Pro until FIFA 13. They may still enter the singles and pairs leagues as the Virtual Pro is not allowed to be used in those competitions.
8.2 What we class as a modified virtual pro is one that has suspicious looking accomplishment time stamps. If the virtual pro’s accomplishments have mostly all been unlocked at the same exact date and time then this will be treated as suspicious and this pro would be removed. An example of suspicious unlocked accomplishments would be the Man of the Match accomplishments, which under normal circumstances, could not all be unlocked at the same exact date and time. Each accomplishment has its own timestamp unless they are unlocked within the same match, therefore any other accomplishments that can only be unlocked over consecutive matches can also look suspicious.
8.3 We will be doing random checks on players via the EA.
9: Substitutions
All teams are allowed to make substitutions during the season. These substitutions can only be completed pm sending a PM to
TLU Seenan GK and it must list the Gamertag and Club they are being transfered too. Players cannot move to another team until the end of the season. Clans with more than one team entered cannot move players within their teams (i.e. move players from Team B to Team A).
10. Submitting Results
Once the match is complete, the captain of both Be a Pro teams must log in to The WGL and submit their result. Failure to do so will impact on the updating efficiency of the site. If there is an issue with the result, it will get flagged; you may then be required to provide us with Match Result Proof.
11: How to Obtain Match Results as Proof
11.1 With your camera or phone, take a photo of the match result screen, then upload to your preferred image host, and forward the link to a League Admin.
11.2 Or:
· Go to
here
· Sign in at the top of the page
· After re-direct to your club homepage, click on “Results”
· Select “Challenge” from the viewing dropdown box
· Click on the date the match was played (on the calendar)
· Click on “Details” for the match in question
· Take a screenshot of that match in question and upload it to your preferred image host
· Send the link to one of the League Admins
12: No Shows & Disputes
12.1 Both Be a Pro captains will have agreed to and confirmed the fixture on The WGL prior to the match. All players need to meet in the Match Lobby punctually. If your opponent does not show up after 15 minutes, without contact, then contact a League Admin. Please note that all chat logs/messages must be kept as proof in case of any protest. A Be a Pro team has a total of 30 minutes to show and be ready to start the match. Failure to do so could result in a 3-0 default loss. Be a Pro team captains are solely responsible for the scheduling date and time of the match.
12.2 To receive a default win, you must provide proof that your opponent did not show, and that the game was scheduled for that time. Agreed proof will include the forum AND either messages, videos or photographic proof. If there is still sufficient time left during the current playing week, the players should try to re-arrange the fixture and completed once more. This cannot be done until a League Admin has been contacted about the initial problem.
12.3 After the no show, the League Admin will try to contact your opponent and will make a ruling on when the game can be played. Common sense will be used; a default will not be given if a previous game has overrun or if the opposing team has informed you that they will be late for whatever reason. Default wins will only be given on the occasions where there is a complete no show on the agreed time and date without any communication or explanation as to why they were not going to be there. Please note, that common sense will always be used first, making the decision to award a default loss will not be made lightly. Also if a team is beaten for instance 5-1 any games that are defaulted by that team again will result in a 5-1 win to the opposition teams also, this is done to create a balance.
12.4 There is a simple sanction process in place for the teams who are awarded default losses, they are as follows:
1st Default Loss = A Written Warning via PM.
2nd Default Loss = A Yellow Card, a further 3pts deducted.
3rd Default Loss = A Red Card, Removal from current league which includes a 3 Month Ban from the WGL site.
13: Arranging of Fixtures
13.1 It's the responsibility of both the Home and Away teams to ensure that the matches are arranged before the Sunday deadline of each week.
If you feel at any point you can't reach the opposition
PM an admin as soon as possible.
13.2 Admins will contact players throughout the week as a reminder to arrange games, there will be a final reminder post out on the Friday of each week.
13.3 If a player doesn't meet the Sunday deadline
2 weeks in a row they will not be allowed to participate in Fifa tournaments.
14: Unsportsmanlike Conduct
14.1 Deliberately impeding the goalkeeper is not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, blocking the goalkeeper during set pieces, and deliberately running across the goalkeeper during dropkicks and throws.
14.2 Any team that is adjudged to have deliberately impeded the goalkeeper during play to gain an advantage (I.e. a goal), will automatically lose their fixture 3-0. Each case will be reviewed by the submission of video evidence..
