I was pretty shocked if im honest.

Too me it shows a lack of ambition from the FA.
For me Hodgson is good at turning relegation battle teams into mediocre teams which sit in mid table come end of season.

Yes he done well with Fulham and was unfortunate too not win the UEFA Cup.
But the England job i feel will be too much for him and like other posts mention, the English media will be on his back so much, that i would be suprised if he manages to last a year.
There is too much expectation everytime there is tournament that England would be expected too win it.
Hodgson is going too go into that job and not have enough time to put in place his team and his tactics and the way he wants England too play. He is going to have to put in the team for Euro 2012 in couple of weeks time.

They should have kept Pearce as the main guy for the tournament and looked at it from there.

Redknapp i think was pretty gutted not to be offered it. But i still reckon his time will come. Probably this time next year lol
